Performing Arts
At Radlett Prep we offer a vibrant and comprehensive Performing Arts programme that fosters creativity,
confidence, and collaboration among our pupils. From Reception through to Year 6, students engage in a wide range of performances, including class assemblies, music recitals and concerts, House competitions and larger theatrical performances in Reception, Year 1, Year 3 and Year 6.
The spectacular Year 6 summer production at the Radlett Centre really is a wonderful way to celebrate the end of their journey with us and enable all children to perform and showcase their performance talents.

Our Music curriculum is designed to foster a love of music through hands-on experience. In Reception and Year 1, students explore percussion instruments to gain an understanding of pulse, pitch and rhythm. In Years 2-4, the children progress through our Instrumental Explorers programme; developing existing skills and gaining new experiences through learning the keyboard, violin and recorder successively. In Years 5 and 6, students work on a variety of composition projects in tandem with developing their understanding of genres from both Western and World Music backgrounds. The children can also join the school choir and orchestra, providing ample opportunities for pupil performances.
