Our History

Radlett Preparatory School was founded in 1938 in the centre of Radlett by a former RAF officer and his wife. Mr and Mrs Smith, senior teachers at the time, acquired the school in 1972 and Radlett Preparatory School relocated its present location in 1980. The main school is a substantial Georgian Grade II listed building, which is situated in delightful grounds which include extensive playing fields, a pond and an expanse of ancient woodland, dating back to the 15th century. In 1994, Mr. and Mrs. Warren acquired the school from Mr. and Mrs. Smith and in 2013 acquired an additional 13 acres of land which were converted into playing fields.
